Audrey's first Halloween was a successful one.  For the first time in a long time we didn't stay home and feed the kiddies of our neighborhood, which we love doing since it is usually so busy.  Noelle, Audrey and I went out trick or treating ourselves, and I must admit, I forgot how much fun it is.  I got so much candy, I honestly don't know why I ever gave it up.

 

Anway, Audrey's grandmother bought her the cutest little chicken costume, comb and all.  I suppose it is only fitting that the best photos of the costume were with Audrey and Grandma Carol.

 

I'm also adding a picture of Audrey's first bath and there is a fun pic of a raccoon.  When we were visiting Bonnies house, it ran in front of us and climbed the tree, of course I had to take the oppertunity to take a photo.

I told you it would take a while to come up with a name, but we finally got one.  I ended up going golfing at Bear Creek Country Club with my regular foursome, afterwards, we stopped at our favorite watering hole, Tony's in Kingsgate.  Looking for anyway to break Noelle's and my stalemate, I put the names up to a vote with my golfing buddies; Sean, Barak and Dwane.  They unanimously voted for Noelle's favorite name.  That pretty much answered it for me, so I did what any smart golfer would do, I told Noelle that the foursome voted and her name would be Audrey Cady Hagen.  Noelle was delighted, since Audrey was her favorite name and since my foursome agreed with her, I think I get to go golfing again soon :)

 

If you were wondering Cady is a contraction of our mother's names, Carol and Judy.

Surprising how much a Baby can change after only a couple of days, we had a great night last night, she stayed with us the whole time and was a sweet little angel.  We actually had to wake her up for feedings.

OK, I'm sure you all knew it was a girl, if not, you probably didn't even know that Noelle was pregnant.  Here's the scoop, we were in the hospital for about 21 hours before Dr. Haines finally said, "our little friend is just not very happy right now, I think it's time to do a c-section."  That was just after 7:00 AM on 2006.10.07.

 

Our little friend, who remains nameless at this point, was born at 7:56 AM this morning... although, I think the clock in the surgery room was off by a couple minutes, I'm going to call time (303-499-7111 - atomic clock in Bolder CO) and see whose time was right.

 

Anyway, here are the stats:

Born: 0756 PDT 2006.10.07

Length: 20.5 inches

Weight: 8 lb 6 oz

 

Mom, Dad and our little friend are doing fine.
