This week, Noelle and I were fortunate enough to join the Microsoft LCA Patent Group at Emerald downs.  We had a great time but I don't think I learned a single thing about racing... except how to loose money.  I'm not sure I'll ever understand how one can make money betting on that sport.  I suppose it doesn't help when I place a bet on three different horses to win and when the race starts, each of their odds are about 3 to 1, fortunately, one of my three horses won and I collected $17.50 on a $15.00 bet.  Like I said, we had a great time, the food was excellent (especially the chicken cordon bleu) and the company we had was next to nothing.

I finally got to play the famed Washington Golf Course in Auburn Washington this weekend.  My favorite course of all time is probably Druids Glen near Lake Sawyer.  There is just something about holes 14-16 appeals to me and I just don't know what it is, I've probably never pared any of those holes either.

 

Anyway, Washington National is now one of my favorite courses, I was happy to shoot a 96 from the white tees.  I found myself in the sand in 9 of the 18 holes too.  Unfortunately, we had a slight cloud cover so we couldn't see Mt Rainier, which I'm guessing is pretty spectacular from a few points on the course.  Anyway, enjoy the photos of my group.

Sure seems like we haven't been posting too many photos lately, I'm not sure we're getting too lazy with the camera, just a bit of a hangover from our time in Hawaii, after all, we took over 800 photos in 6 days :)

As you may know, Noelle and I live very close to a lot of really really good wineries, we had some friends join us for a little wine tasting and dinner.  Although it was a fun night, two things didn't go as planned:
 
1) I burned the chicken (too busy talking)
2) Some photos are out of focus (shouldn't of had that last glass of wine -- whatever)

OK, I know I haven't added photos of Audrey to my blog lately... on the bright side, if you were paying attention, you noticed I uploaded photos from our trip to Hawaii.   Hawaii was great, not sure it couldn't be great.  If you didn't know, we went to the Big Island for Matt and Dayle (Moore) French's wedding (http://daylematt.com/).  Ha, I love that, I was going to send it into Leno, you do get it, right?  The Moore French Wedding :)
