Marshal & Noelle HagenSeptember 16 Another Photography HangoverIf you haven't noticed, it's been a while since I've posted any new photos on my space. Well, my excuse is that Noelle and I shot a wedding on 08.08.08. We had two cameras and a lot of disk space. We shot 1507 photos, processed 361 of them and used a total of 12.8 GB of space. To put it lightly, I spent about a week, 3 hours per night editing photos, the last thing I've wanted to do is edit more photos :)
The good part of dealing with so many photos is that I really get to learn a lot, anything from new tricks, to things I shouldn't waste time on (such as removing power lines [45 minutes] from a photo that wasn't that great in the first place).
Well, tonight, Noelle pleaded with me to get some more photos out on the site, you can check them out in the photo album dated September 16, 2008.
Cheers!
June 10 Carnel Hagen Family PhotosHave you seen that e-mail thread recently has a bunch of cheesy Olin Mills family photos. I recall laughing my ass off at every single photo, they were priceless, the families all dressed up in their 70's duds with cheesy backgrounds and special effects that may have seemed revolutionary at the time... but only add to the mounds of cheese.
Well, my mother recently gave me a small package of slides and asked me to scan them so we can preserve our families history. After I was able to stop laughing, I wondered, why were our family photos not in that e-mail. Since I have no shame, I find it necessary to share these with the world. To see the pics, they're in an album with the title "Carnel Hagen Family Photos"
Enjoy! March 25 No more photos in the blogAlthough it is so nice and easy to put photos in my blog, I have decieded that I will begin using the photo album the way it was intended. So, without futher adu, check out the lastest pictures in my photos section.
Cheers! February 24 Happy Birthday GraceColorado Springs and an attempt to photograph the lunar eclipseI flew to Colorado Springs a couple weeks ago for work and found a couple hours to see some of the local sites. Special thanks to my host Tim Yost.
From near my hotel, you feel like you're right at the base of the rockies, probably because you are. I was told later that the center mountain is Pikes Peak.
This is the LexisNexis building, a bit nicer than ours.
The first thing I thought of when I thought Colorado Springs was the Olympic traing center.
Countdown to the next two Olympics. Oh, I can't wait for Whistler.
A little bar that Jennifer Jones told me about, we were short on time so we didn't get to go in. They sell beer by the yard, I really should have made time :)
This is the Brodmore (not sure if I'm supposed to spell it with an 'A' or not - there's a good story behind that) it is a 5 star hotel, don't see too many of those now, do we.
Kissing Camels at the Garden of the Gods.
My favorite view of the Garden of the Gods, I don't think I did it justice.
Yes, I had to take a picture of something that said, "Garden of the Gods." By the way, the garden of the gods was the highlight of my sight seeing, the rock formation were awesome.
OK, so, this looks pretty boring, eh? Well, you probably won't beleive that the reason that mountain top is flat is because they cut it off when they were mining, it wasn't always flat.
Yes, that rock is really balancing, in fact, it's called blanced rock.
Here's the lunar elipse we had the other day, I need to read up on hot photograph this for 2010. The moon actually had a red tint, I couldn't capture that for some reason, oh well, I'll get it next time. January 29 Just a few more picsJanuary 17 Welcome to 2008 |
